President of the Republic Congratulates Algerian Students Following Their Outstanding Global Achievement in the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026
On June 5, 2026, the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, congratulated Algerian students through his official account on the platform “X” for their historic achievement at the Global Finals of the Huawei ICT Competition 2025-2026, where they won three Grand Prizes, the highest distinction awarded by this prestigious international competition. This remarkable accomplishment further confirms the prominent position that Algerian talents have attained in the fields of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) at the global level. The Algerian teams secured Grand Prizes in three major tracks: Network, Computing, and Cloud Computing, outperforming teams from some of the world’s most prestigious universities and higher education institutions. The tenth edition attracted more than 220,000 students and instructors from over 2,000 universities and higher education institutions across more than 100 countries and regions, while only about 200 teams from 50 countries advanced to the Global Finals. It also demonstrates the success of ongoing efforts to develop training programs in digital fields and to strengthen students’ capacities for innovation, creativity, and international competitiveness. I am pleased to inform the academic and research community that the spin-off company CRAPC EXPERTISE SPA, originating from the Scientific and Technical Research Center in Physico-Chemical Analysis, has today obtained approval for listing on the Algiers Stock Exchange, granted by the Commission for the Organization and Supervision of Stock Exchange Operations (COSOB).

The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research expresses its sincere gratitude and deep appreciation to all partners, including the ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Fisheries, the ministry of Industry, Sonelgaz Company, local authorities of the Province of Biskra, following the successful production of a new sheep feed “Sheep Date”, an innovative product derived from the optimal use of date waste. This product is developed by the Scientific and Technical Research Centre for Arid Regions in Biskra. This project is part of an initiative that aims to enhance the value of applied scientific research in the agricultural sector. The project’s goal is to fatten sheep and improve meat quality, thereby providing an effective alternative to imported feed corn.
