As part of ongoing field visits to monitor students’ living conditions and implement a policy of proximity and attentiveness to the concerns of the university community, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, visited the “Abdelkader Belarbi” men’s university residence (CUB 1) and the “Baya Hussein” women’s university residence (CUB 4) on the evening of Wednesday, 28 October 2026. The visit aimed to assess students’ living conditions, the level of care and services provided to them, and their day-to-day concerns.
The visit included inspections of accommodation and dining facilities, an assessment of the quality of services provided, and a review of compliance with hygiene, safety, and comfort standards. The Minister also examined the cultural and sporting activities available to students. Furthermore, the visit provided an opportunity to listen directly to students’ concerns and expectations and to gather their suggestions for improving their living conditions.
This visit forms part of broader efforts to strengthen direct communication with students and foster a culture of listening and dialogue. These efforts aim to improve university services and living conditions in student residences while strengthening trust among the various members of the university community.
