Mr. Kamel Baddari continues his field visits to monitor the rehabilitation and refurbishment works at university residences

As part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, conducted an inspection visit on the evening of 22 July 2026 to the Bouraoui Ammar University Residence in El Harrach and the El Alia University Residence in Bab Ezzouar, to review the progress of the rehabilitation works on university infrastructure and student service facilities.


The purpose of the visit was to ensure that the university residences will be fully operational and ready to provide students with accommodation and services that meet the quality standards established by the higher education sector.

The President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, extended his congratulations through his official social media account to the ENP Racing Team, representing students of the National Polytechnic School (ENP) of El Harrach, following the team’s outstanding achievement in winning the Alan Staniforth Best Newcomer Award at the Formula Student UK competition, one of the world’s leading student engineering and race car design competitions, held at the Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom.

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, also congratulated the members of the winning team, praising their remarkable accomplishment in one of the most prestigious international competitions dedicated to engineering students. He emphasized that they have “proven themselves to be the embodiment of the future of a new and victorious Algeria and the builders of its glory.”

This distinction reflects the excellence of Algerian students in engineering and innovation and highlights the growing international recognition of Algerian universities and their ability to produce highly skilled talents capable of competing at the highest global level.
