On 10 May 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, conducted a working and inspection visit to the Algiers 2 University, Abou El Kacem Saadallah.
During this visit, the Minister inspected the economic subsidiary, a research product of the Scientific and Technical Research Centre for the Development of the Arabic Language, which showcased eight (8) marketable innovative projects. Among the most important were the vocal e-book designed for first-grade students, the artificial intelligence application for early diagnosis of autism, and electronic applications to accompany schoolchildren for successful scientific achievement. It was also an opportunity to explore the exhibition of innovative project holders and micro-enterprises.
The Minister said that the university had evolved into a productive centre of knowledge, marketing innovation, entrepreneurship and skills relevant to the contemporary labour market.
The Minister stated that the Algiers 2 University, which specialises in humanities, social sciences, and languages, has emerged as an economic contributor by training students in entrepreneurial skills, supporting start-up projects, and cultivating a new generation of economic professionals with humanities and social sciences degrees.

On the evening of 7 May 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, convened with the directors of mathematics and nanotechnologies research centres located at the Martyr Abdelhafid Ihaddadene Scientific and Technological Hub in Sidi Abdellah, to formulate their strategic development plan, and address the conditions of university services.

On 7 May 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, received Dr. Ibtissem Hamlaoui, the President of the National Observatory of Civil Society at the Ministry’s headquarters.

In the course of this meeting, both parties acknowledged the significance of partnership and integration between the University and the Observatory in the field of social studies and research, along with student volunteerism, to align with the developmental state vision of the of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who views the university as a source of ideas and a locomotive for society.

Mr. Kamel Baddari participates in the activities of the National Conference on cancer control

Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, attended the opening of the national conferences on cancer control on May 3, 2025, under the esteemed patronage of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune. The event, hosted at the International Conference Centre and organised by the National Committee for Cancer Prevention and Control, aimed the establishment of a national strategy for cancer prevention and control for the years 2025-2035, formulated on the derived from the seven workshops planned for this occasion.
On this occasion, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, declared that the department plans to sign a cooperation agreement with the National Committee for Cancer Prevention and Control, in order to carry out a scientific research focused on cancer prevention, diagnosis and the development of medications. This agreement will be of the utmost importance in terms of diagnosis and drug development to contribute to the provision of treatment in this field.
In this context, he stated that there are « three (03) research centres, twenty-four (24) research laboratories, and fifteen (15) national scientific research projects currently active in this field. They will be supported by twelve (12) national projects focused on scientific research in cancer diagnosis and drug development”.
