Service improvement in university residences

On July 9, 2024, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, conducted a visit to the Ouled Fayet and Hydra Centre residences, where he gave instructions to identify shortcomings on the premises to ensure the comfort of all students in university residences, and work to improve services as part of the preparations for the upcoming academic year.
During the inspection visit to the Ouled fayet and Hydra Centre residences, the minister inspected the housing conditions, the ongoing maintenance repair works and the equipments in residents’ rooms. It is planned that these visits will continue to other residences in the coming days.
During this visit, the minister examined the conditions of both of residences, where he instructed the shortcomings to be addressed to insure the comfort of students, in particular, the improvement of dormitories, the strengthening of maintenance services and necessary amenities to ensure a good education environment for.
The minister explained that this visit is a part of a continuous process that aims at improving services in all university residences. He also highlighted the importance of a constant communication with students, and listening to their opinions and suggestions to improve the quality of university life, expressing his optimism about the efforts made that will soon translate into an ideal university environment that allows students to focus on their studies and research in the best conditions possible.
For his part, the general director of the National Office of University Services, Mr. Mourad Korichi, welcomed the minister’s visit and his growing interest in improving the conditions of university residences. He asserted that NOUS will rigorously work to implement the directives of the minister to find immediate and permanent solutions to all the recorded shortcomings.
