On 9 December 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the General Director of the Security Agency of Information Systems at the Ministry of National Defence, chaired the opening ceremony of the training course for officials responsible for the state institutions’ and national bodies’. The event took place at the National Higher School of Cybersecurity, located at the Scientific and Technological Hub “Martyr Abdelhafid Ihaddadene” in Sidi Abdellah.
During a speech delivered at the event, Mr. Kamel Baddari emphasised that this training session is “the realisation of the programme of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune, who considers digital sovereignty to be a lever for national sovereignty and defence”. He also stated that it represents “a commitment to promoting and enhancing cybersecurity in various activities, particularly governmental ones”, as well as “anticipating risks and protecting the country”.
This two-day course forms part of the implementation of the national information systems security strategy in terms of training. This course’s objective is to “strengthen the technical skills of personnel and familiarise them with the best practice and international standards in the field of information systems security”.
This training also aims to « update participants’ knowledge of legislation and laws related to cybersecurity,” to improve the protection of the state’s institutions’ national bodies informational infrastructure against the increasing modern cyber threats in the contemporary digital world.
Following the opening ceremony, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and the General Director of the Security Agency of Information Systems at the Ministry of National Defence, inspected the various sections of this national higher school.
