On 16 October 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with Mr. Noureddine Ouadah, the Minister of Knowledge Economy, Start-ups and Micro-enterprises, the Deputy Governor of the administrative district of Sidi Abdellah, and the Director General of the Algerian Space Agency, inaugurated the ASAL business incubator at the Hub’s National School of Artificial Intelligence. The incubator aims to benefit students from the five schools at the Scientific and Technological Hub “Martyr Abdelhafid Ihaddadene” in Sidi Abdellah, and encourage innovation and entrepreneurship in space related fields among students at the five schools of the scientific hub, by supporting research projects and developing advanced technological solutions.
In a speech delivered on this occasion, Mr. Kamel Baddari stated that the inauguration of this incubator, “the first of its kind”, demonstrates the “complementarity and partnership between the National Higher School of Mathematics and the National School of Artificial Intelligence”. It is also part of “the implementation of the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s instructions to enhance cooperation between institutions in these fields, which are considered as the beating heart of economic and social development.”
The minister added that the purpose incubator is to “support and accompany project holders”, by providing them with “added economic value”. In this context, he reiterated the authority’s commitment to continue their efforts for “investing in science, knowledge and innovation.”
This event gave the Minister the chance to review the innovative projects of the students from the Artificial Intelligence and Mathematics schools in the field of space and its applications.
