To mark the Nation Migration Day, which concurs with the sixty-fourth (64) anniversary of the October 17, 1961 massacre, and in accordance with the President of the Republic, Mr. Abdelmadjid Tebboune’s decision, to observe a minute of silence in memory of the martyrs of the October 17, 1961 protests, the Scientific and Technological Hub, Martyr Abdelhafid Ihaddadene in Sidi Abdellah, along with other state institutions, observed a minute of silence to honour the Algerians who lost their lives to repression while protesting peacefully in France.

These protests embodied the noble sentiment of solidarity between the people of Algeria, both home and abroad. They affirmed that the national will was united, with a common goal: the liberation of the homeland and the establishment of an independent state.
