Mr. Kamel Baddari inaugurates digital studios at the Algiers 3 University

On 6 October 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, oversaw the inauguration of digital studios at the Faculty of Information Sciences and Communication at the Algiers 3 University. The studios are intended to strengthen the practical training for students and keep pace with technological advances in the field of information and communication. The minister reviewed the technical equipment and educational tools provided by the faculty to enable students to engage in practical training within a simulated professional media environment. This aims to improve training quality and raise the visibility of the University of Algiers 3 as a scientific and media hub in line with digital progress.
The minister attended a lecture with a special group of students instructed in English, and participated in the first live broadcast of “Podcast Eljazayer” from the faculty, which is an innovative student project aimed at enhancing students’ digital media skills and improving their ability to produce professional audiovisual content.
In alignment with the ongoing support offered by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research to cultivate a culture of entrepreneurship and promote innovation within the university setting, Mr. Kamel Baddari inspected the training courses at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre. He commended the initiative demonstrated by students and project holders, underscoring the importance of entrepreneurship as a vital pillar for bolstering national economy and enhance university competencies.
He also visited a small exhibition for start-ups and micro-entreprises, whose owners were trained at the Entrepreneurship Development Centre at the Algiers 3 University. The minister reviewed the following small projects:
– A food production company;
– A multi-sports hall;
– A company producing wooden panels using recycling technology;
– A company producing ethyl alcohol;
– A company cultivation green barely for livestock and cattle feed using hydroponic technology.
At the conclusion of the visit, the minister presented seven decisions to establish new start-ups within the business incubator at the University of Algiers 3.
