On 14 July 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, held a press conference at the ministry’s headquarters to discuss the latest developments for the 2025-2026 academic year. He also addressed the digital signature of the circular and the launch of the advertisement spot for the new students’ online portal.
During his speech, the minister confirmed that this academic year would rely on smart digital foundations to facilitate the registration processes. The system will be smart and secure, based on exploratory artificial intelligence and reliable algorithms.
He also announced that virtual open days would be held at 117 university institutions from 16 to 22 July 2025, to spare the new baccalaureate holders the inconvenience of commuting.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research revealed that the final registration will take place from 10 to 15 August, during which period, applications for university services will also be accepted. He also mentioned that the new feature for this academic year is the introduction of Quick Response (QR) codes for both initial and final registration.Â
He also declared the introduction of new specialisations, primarily in scientific engineering and technology. furthermore, the educational and service infrastructure will be reinforced.
Mr. Kamel Baddari has also electronically signed the ministerial circular related to the orientation of the baccalaureate holders for the 2025 session. Additionally, the advertisement spot for the online portal for new students was presented.Â
