Mr. Kamel Baddari chairs the signing ceremony of agreements between Houari Boumediene University and twenty higher education and research institutions

On 19 April 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, launched, at the Houari Boumediene University, a collaborative initiative between this university and higher schools and research centres, including twenty-one (21) institutions. The aim is to use this synergy as a strategic tool to create a suitable environment for teaching, research and innovation, thereby attracting future investment in higher education and scientific research. These agreements are also designed to enhance the reputation and the visibility of these institutions both locally and internationally.
In his address during the event, Baddari stated that these agreements were “an investment for the near future that start yielding results from today”. “Today we are sowing the seed of a university that will propel the national economy, and enhance scientific research, thereby reflecting the success of the higher education and scientific research system both nationally and internationally”, he continued.
Furthermore, He stressed the importance of developing scientific research and intellectual education, to liberate university institutions and research centres from their limitations and making them more responsive to the challenges of society and more connected to their surroundings and social and economic contexts.
