Inauguration of New Structures at the Higher National School of Veterinary

Algiers- On Tuesday, April 25, 2023, the minister of higher education and scientific research Mr. Kamel Baddari paid an inspection and work visit to the higher national school of veterinary at Oued Al-Semmar. The minister inaugurated a group of structures dedicated to startups, as he laid the foundation stone for the new pedagogical and experimental farm.
Minister Baddariwas briefed on the project regarding the exploitation of artificial intelligence in veterinary, which aims at accompanying students in their projects, in addition to using the potential of these technologies to diagnose and prevent animal diseases, and make use of the data provided by technology.On the same occasion, many research projects were displayed to the minister in an exhibition organized by the school students.

In a press statement, Mr. Baddari affirmed that the higher national school for veterinary provides high quality formation that goes along with the social and economic ongoing demands, aiming at activating innovative projects of school students in order to guaranty animal security and therefore food security.

Mr. Baddari also added that the efforts elaborated by the school would create richness, through provision of incomes and job opportunities, especially for innovative students whose projects will be turned into startups or micro-enterprises,throughproviding support mechanisms and spaces at universitiesdedicated to the realization of the their innovative projects and therefore transform them into marketable products.

The minister asserted that Algerian universities have reached the stage of ‘zero paper’ goal, thanks to the activation of digital platforms in the sectors of governance, formation, scientific research and university services. As he revealed the launch of sixnewvarious digital platforms in the week ahead,whichwill be added to 29 previous platforms. Pending the achievement ofthe goal ’42+4′ platforms, which would make the higher education sector significantly progress in the achievementof the digital strategy plan, which consists of 7 axes, 16 programs, and 102 operational programs.
