As part of efforts to promote innovation and develop innovative homegrown technological solutions, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Kamel Baddari, chaired a working meeting on the evening of Sunday, 25 October 2026. The meeting was attended by the Director General of Scientific Research and Technological Development, the Director of the National Higher School of Artificial Intelligence, the Director of networks and digital development, the Chief of Staff, and the Adviser in charge of Digital Information, Statistical Information and Communication.
The meeting was dedicated to launching a brainstorming session aimed at exploring and developing smart, innovative national solutions to the challenges associated with social media platforms.
This initiative seeks to mobilise national scientific and technological expertise and harness the potential of artificial intelligence and applied scientific research to develop innovative approaches that keep pace with the rapid transformations of the digital landscape while promoting the responsible and secure use of modern technologies.
This strategic direction reflects the sector’s commitment to moving beyond the consumption of technological solutions towards the production of knowledge and the development of homegrown innovations. It also seeks to strengthen the role of Algerian universities as a source of innovative ideas and a driving force for digital innovation, in the service of society and national development.
