Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Holds Working Meeting with Heads of Higher Schools Specializing in Economics, Finance and Management

Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Mr. Kamel Baddari, chaired, on the afternoon of 10 September 2026, at the Koléa Pole, a working meeting with the senior officials and heads of the five (05) higher schools specializing in economics, finance and management.

During the meeting, the Minister stressed that the economy is a key driver for achieving national development objectives, highlighting the central role of these institutions in supporting this dynamic by training and qualifying national talent capable of understanding rapidly evolving economic transformations, contributing to decision-making, supporting investment, strengthening the competitiveness of the national economy, and thereby contributing to wealth and job creation.

In this context, the Minister called for the modernization and development of training programmes in line with current economic and technological transformations, particularly through the integration of artificial intelligence, digital transformation and data analytics, while strengthening students’ digital skills and analytical capabilities.

He also emphasized the importance of strengthening partnerships with economic enterprises and the financial sector, in order to align training more closely with labour-market needs and enhance graduates’ employability, while fostering an entrepreneurial culture and supporting the creation of start-ups and innovative projects.

With regard to scientific research, Mr. Baddari stressed the need to orient research efforts towards the development of applied solutions addressing economic and development challenges, thereby strengthening the role of these schools as centres for skills development and innovation laboratories, and enabling them to contribute effectively to supporting the national economy.

He further called for these institutions to become spaces for the production and valorization of knowledge and its transformation into economic value, as well as drivers contributing to the implementation of the vision of the “New Algeria”, based on knowledge and innovation, skills development, value creation and enhanced competitiveness of the national economy.
