The Ministers of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Health, Labor, Employment and Social Security held a coordination meeting on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, dedicated to examining ways to improve the internship conditions of resident doctors, within the framework of the current regulatory system, and to ensure a better balance between academic training requirements and field duties.

In this context, it was agreed to establish a joint committee tasked with preparing a draft action plan containing a set of proposals and measures aimed at improving internship conditions and addressing the concerns of resident doctors.
