On 26 May 2025, Mr. Kamel Baddari, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, along with Mrs. Soraya Mouloudji, the Minister of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs, presided over the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the two sectors at the National Centre for Training Specialised Employees in Birkhadem. The agreement focuses on scientific research and technological development.
Activating cooperation channels with scientific and research institutions will undoubtedly contribute to improving the quality of community life, and benefit from social development to create purposeful and sustainable programmes. This will also help achieve the major objectives of the national solidarity sector, as well as higher education and scientific research.
The main points of the agreement signed by the two sectors are as follows:
– Conducting and publishing studies and university research on the promotion of institutional care programmes to benefit all, particularly employees of the national solidarity sector.
– Taking part in specialised committees set up within the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs.
– Proposing research projects, particularly priority projects, to be submitted to the relevant thematic research agencies.
– Articulate opinions on educational programmes and methods related to education and higher training, updating them according to the current requirements.
– Articulate opinions and make suggestions in the field of preparing educational guides and programmes, developed by the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs.
On another note, the Permanent Sectorial Committee for Scientific Research and Technological Development of the Ministry of National Solidarity, Family and Women’s Affairs, was established, following the Ministerial Decision of 23 January 2025, published in Issue 11 of the Official Gazette on 19 February 2025. This committee aims to enhance and promote research and technological activities within the national solidarity sector, working closely with the services of the higher education and scientific research sector.
